Spectrum children is any that suffers from Sensory overload, Autism, ADHD and are hyperactive.
The way a
spectrum child experiences an outing to the mall are very challenging. The sounds of the lights, trollies, people talking people using cutlery at the wimpy, busy in the kitchen, music, etc. all on the same sound level.
While the sound is over bearing the smells of the food, perfume, etc. are also over stimulating the smell senses. They even taste the things they smell.
They explain it as "getting like a bad cold, body starts acing, head feels like bursting, light is to sharp and they need to go climb into a whole to make it all stop".
Ways to make it bearable for them:
Make a list before hand
Keep at
the list
Let them wear noise cancelling headphones
Let them use a pressure jacket (look likes life jacket)
Let them have a fidget
Be quick
